Hillary Clinton dares women to compete

BOSTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton is daring women to compete, but not saying whether she will herself in 2016.

The former secretary of state addressed a women's leadership conference in Boston on Wednesday. She called on members of the largely female crowd to seize opportunities to compete in life, even if they're worried or nervous about the outcome.

The comments come as Clinton weighs another presidential campaign. Her appearance just 30 miles from the New Hampshire state line is stoking enthusiasm among some Democratic activists pushing the former first lady to run.

Clinton did not address her political future on Wednesday. She has said she would make a decision about that by the end of the year.
