Hillary Clinton thanks Chrissy Teigen for ‘bravery and grace’ over baby loss
Hillary Clinton has thanked Chrissy Teigen for speaking publicly about baby loss.
In early October, Teigen shared a post on social media revealing that she and her husband John Legend had suffered the loss of their third child, Jack.
In a statement, the model wrote: âWe are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain weâve never felt before.
âWe were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough."
The 34-year-old former model also posted several black-and-white photographs, including one of her sitting on a bed crying and another of her holding the baby with Legend by her side.
After taking a break from social media, Teigen has since published a heartfelt essay on Medium, which addressed those who criticised the intimate nature of her photos, saying: âI cannot express how little I care that you hate the photos.
âHow little I care that itâs something you wouldnât have done,â she added.
âI lived it, I chose to do it, and more than anything, these photos arenât for anyone but the people who have lived this or are curious enough to wonder what something like this is like.â
On 28 October, Clinton shared Teigenâs essay on Twitter, writing: âThank you, @chrissyteigen , for your bravery and grace in starting a hard conversation to help other families heal alongside yours.â
