The first trailer for the second season of The Hills: New Beginnings has revealed a familiar face from the past is coming back.

The new trailer, which you can watch above, ends with none other than Kristin Cavallari making a dramatic entrance from a limo and taking off her mask before we hear her say: "Here’s to reuniting."

Cavallari originally starred in MTV’s Laguna Beach from 2004 to 2005, before moving on to the spinoff The Hills in 2009.

Sadly, Cavallari's appearance on the show will only be for one episode, as she told Us Weekly there'd be "no drama — at least not about me." She added: "I filmed one episode, so what could you really do?"

Cavallari revealed that she "had such a great time" reuniting with the old gang. "It was like no time had passed. I’m really happy that I was able to do it."

Notably absent from the second season trailer though is The OC star Mischa Barton, who was a somewhat random addition to the reboot's first season cast.

Last March, Barton was reported to have been axed from the series and replaced by Caroline D'Amore, something she strongly denied on Instagram.

Alongside a screenshot of a story from Us Weekly, Barton wrote on Instagram: "Lol. Where do people get their reporting from?

"As if anyone would watch @carolinedamore try to hoc her boring ass pasta bowls and greasy pizza on TV. Tried that it was like watching paint dry. Get the story straight first."

The Hills: New Beginnings season 2 will premiere on MTV in the US on May 12.
