The Hills reboot's fate is revealed after its long-awaited return
It's only been back on our screens for a few weeks, but it looks like The Hills: New Beginnings isn't going anywhere just yet.
A month after the revival series premiered on MTV, TVLine has reported that it has been renewed for season 2, meaning we'll definitely be heading back to Los Angeles for more drama and entertainment in the future.
Developed as a sequel to the original '00s series The Hills, the series reunites the original cast members in Los Angeles and follows their personal and professional lives as they write their new chapters in work, romance and relationships.
MTV's revival of the classic reality show premiered last month and brought back many familiar faces – including stars like Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Justin Bobby and Stephanie Pratt – as well as introducing new names like The OC actress Mischa Barton and model Brandon Thomas Lee.
Speaking about joining the series ahead of its premiere in June, Mischa Barton told Digital Spy and others that the show is "completely different" this time around.
"From what I gather from being new, this is completely different this time round, because it's not the same production company it's not the same thing, it's more real," she said.

Fellow star Justin Bobby added: "I think you'll see right off the bat, you cannot hide what's going. We try because sometimes we don't want everything filmed and they just get, they capture it.
"Before, when we were younger, we were like, 'How's this going to play out? How's this going to look?' But now we've honed in on ourselves a little bit more to understand [and] to know what we're going to put out there and just accept it."
The Hills: New Beginnings airs on Mondays on MTV in the US, and on Tuesdays at 8pm on MTV in the UK.
