Historic 16th Century North Yorkshire pub back in business after major refurb
A historic 16th Century Yorkshire pub has reopened its doors after a seven-month refurbishment and significant investment.
The North Yorkshire village of North Stainley is home to The Staveley Arms, which lies just four miles from Ripon and within easy reach of Harrogate and Leeds. The establishment not only offers a restaurant but also accommodation with eight ensuite rooms located in The Old Coach House, and.... is around a 50 minute drive from Teesside.
"When the Staveley Arms opportunity was presented to us, we leapt at the chance," shared Steve Mortimer, who, along with Fay Howell, manages both this venue and The Turkey Inn, another successful country pub in West Yorkshire, reports Yorkshire Live. "It's been wonderful working alongside James Staveley and the whole North Stainley team to get the pub open again.

"They've been involved in the whole process and, like us, are keen to bring the pub back to life and back to being the heart of the village. It was great to see the excitement around the re-opening at the recent North Stainley Together Community meeting too.
"We plan to use produce from the estate and are keen to source local produce for our menu where possible. We've kept all the traditional Staveley Arms features as well as adding some fresh ideas too, we've all invested a lot into renovating and redecorating the pub to create a cosy environment that we hope customers from near and far will enjoy."
Further expansion plans are also in the works, ensuring that there will always be something to look forward to.
