The show is set within a historic Grade I listed building, one of the oldest and most prestigious in Newcastle, with The Great Room, where Charles Dickens himself once stayed, offering the perfect backdrop. From award-winning director Jake Murray, this version of a Christmas classic delivers an adaptation of Dickens’ tale which is both fresh and faithful to the source.

Writer and producer Craig Wilde has crafted a script which brings each ghostly visitation vividly to life. With only 48 guests per evening, everyone who attends is given a front-row seat as they journey back to the 1830s.

Craig Wilde said: "This production is truly special, as audiences will be immersed in an atmosphere where history, literature and performance collide. The Great Room’s history, combined with the candlelit setting, makes it the perfect space to bring Dickens’ beloved story to life."

Over 50% of the tickets have already been sold for Dickens by Candlelight: A Christmas Carol, and further bookings can be made on the Niltoni Productions website here. Tickets are priced at £34.50, with concessions available at £28.50.
