Hit The High Hat: Percussionist Plays Upside Down In The Air

For most spectators, the half-time interval is a chance to stretch your legs and grab another beer.

It means the act providing entertainment must move fast to keep the crowd’s attention.

So with this seemingly in mind, this drum line decided to elevate the half-time show to a new level.

After the first half of their high school’s football game finishes, these percussionists begin playing in their usual rhythmic marching style.

But, before long, they decide to do something a little different.

After about 40 seconds of playing in a line, four of the six drummers step forward and put their kits on the floor.

Two of the musicians hold up a kit and turn it over – as another lifts up one of the drummers and hangs him from their shoulders.

A second later he begins to play the drums upside down, keeping remarkable time – much to the delight of the crowd, who begin to cheer.

It may even impress legendary drummer Tommy Lee who played upside down for Motorhead in a huge rollercoaster like loop.
