Hit-And-Run PC Was 'Best Dad In The World'
The children of PC Dave Phillips have paid tribute to the "best daddy in the world" - saying he gave the best kisses and cuddles.
In a moving video tribute, daughters Abigail, seven and Sophie, three, read out various messages they had written for their father who died in a hit-and-run on Monday morning.
Reading one note, Abigail said: "My daddy is kind and caring because he gives the best kisses and cuddles and was the funniest daddy ever. He is my hero. I love you daddy."
Another said: "A loving father is always in our heart and when we are losing a race he will cheer us on if to make us win. A memory of him in our brain and heart will always make a loved father happy and make everyone happy."
Another note said: "When we went to Turkey he was the happiest man there - he brought us pancakes and whatever we wanted."
PC Phillips died after being hit by a stolen pick-up truck , which was being pursued by police in Merseyside.
Six people have now been arrested by police investigating their colleague's death.
