HMRC warns UK households over problem it is 'working urgently' to solve
HMRC has issued a "sorry" apology to taxpayers after a "technical issue." The government tax department, now working under the Labour Party, has written a brief statement on Twitter/X after taxpayers warned they "needed help".
“We’re sorry that we’ve had to temporarily close our helplines. This is due to a technical issue, which we’re working urgently to resolve," HMRC has said. “Customers can continue to use our online services, which are working as normal," it said.
