Holby City viewers are not happy with Adrian 'Fletch' Fletcher after he couldn't keep his nose out of Chloe's business.

Viewers will remember that in previous episodes, Evan Crowhurst's sinister plan escalated when he used his sister Phoebe Palmer's (Daisy Wood-Davis) admission to the hospital to worm his way back into Chloe's (Amy Lennox) life.

And now it appears that Adrian is trying to find out if the story about Evan is really true, risking his chances to make peace with Chloe's mother Ange.

Tuesday's episode (September 10) saw Chloe attempting to get rid of all memories of her abusive and controlling ex.

But Fletch wanted to dig deeper and find out what exactly Evan did, asking Chloe if she had considered involving the police.

"Evan knows how to play people," Chloe told him. "He's untouchable. Just worried he's going to catch me when I'm alone."

Adrian's real motives continued to confuse viewers when he called Evan to meet up with him at the local pub.

Then, a furious Ange faced off with Adrian, and told him: "You're still not getting this, right? You should be ashamed of yourself."

Of course, viewers were annoyed too.

But after all, we realised the reason Adrian met Evan was simply to find some evidence about his sinister actions.

In a short moment while Evan was in the pub's bathroom, Adrian made the shocking discovery that he had placed a secret camera in Chloe's flat, monitoring her actions all the time.

Adrian called the police and Evan was taken by officers for investigation.

Naturally, viewers were immediately impressed with what Fletch did.

Unfortunately, this is not the end of Evan's cruel plans. In last week's autumn trailer, the BBC One soap teased his return where he takes terrorising Chloe to new heights.

Holby City airs on Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC One.
