Holderness Road reopens after car collides with woman
Holderness Road was earlier shut in both directions as a heavy police presence was seen at the scene following reports of a woman being hit by a car.
Photographs sent to Hull Live showed a person lying in the road and traffic backing up. The incident happened outside the Jesmond Arms at about 1pm but the road has since re-opened.
Humberside Police blocked the road and officers were seen speaking with a casualty who was lying in the road but appeared to be conscious.

Inrix, the traffic monitoring service, reported: "A165 Holderness Road in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident from Morrill Street to Village Road."
A spokesperson for Humberside Police told Hull Live: "Officers attended Holderness Road this afternoon, Friday 23 August, following reports that a car had collided with a woman.
"The collision occurred at around 1pm between Durham Street and Jalland Street. The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries, the extent of which are not currently known."
