Holly Willoughby has revealed that she accidentally flashed while presenting a children’s TV show, early in her career.

Willoughby was speaking to the Daily Mail about presenting Saturday morning kids’ TV show Ministry of Mayhem, later renamed Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown, from 2004-6. Her co-presenter was Stephen Mulhern.

She said: “There were times when we went straight from the hotel bar to going live on air.

“Everyone in children’s TV drinks until 5am. If you mess up, no one cares. It got a bit too wild when my breast popped out of my dress.”

“It doesn’t help when you read the script and you’ve got to drink anchovies in custard with some eight year old. No matter how hard you scrub in the shower, you can’t get the smell of custard pie off your skin.”

Ministry of Mayhem was an ITV children’s game show on which Willoughby was often dressed in skimpy outfits, like a bikini and grass skirt, or as a French maid, or a superhero in tight lycra.

Willoughby and Mulhern were frequently coated in gunge, sprayed with silly string or forced to eat disgusting combinations of food, such as anchovies and custard.

Holly’s most recent presenting jobs include reportedly securing a six-figure sum to substitute for Ant McPartlin on the latest series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, and she’s a daily fixture o the This Morning couch alongside Phillip Schofield. She’s been presenting the show since 2009.

Willoughby gets to show off her cheekier side during appearances on Celebrity Juice, which she has been a team captain on since 2008.
