Holly Willoughby shouts 'Willy' live on This Morning as she beats Phillip Schofield in Blockbusters challenge

Holly Willoughby gave herself the giggles after screaming the word “willy” on This Morning as she took on Phillip Schofield in a game of Blockbusters.

The duo went head-to-head as Dara Ó Briain joined them in the studio ahead of the gameshow’s reboot on Comedy Central.

Ó Briain asked: “What ‘W’ is the first name of Mr Wonka?”

Willoughby’s hand shot up in the air before she shouted: “Willy!”

Rochelle Humes, who was playing the assistant, burst out laughing as did Willoughby, with Ó Briain adding: “Classic This Morning fit of giggles now.”

The TV star showed off her competitive side as she battled to beat Schofield, correctly guessing the answer “Alien” to bag herself the win.

Willoughby jumped up and danced around as she shouted: “Yes! Yes!”

But her delight soon turned to confusion after she was presented with a “Holly Willoughby tea cosy”.

“I can’t tell whether that’s the best or the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” she said as Ó Briain pulled out Schofield’s very own knitted doppelganger.

“Thank God I didn’t win he said,” as he refused to take the gift from the comedian.

But Willoughby may not be celebrating for long after Piers Morgan sent her a chilling warning for trashing his Life Stories studio with fellow Celebrity Juice Team Captain Paddy McGuinness.

“Two words, McGuinness, Willoughby. Dead meat,” he said on being shown the footage on Good Morning Britain.

He continued: “Don’t worry, revenge is a dish best tasted cold, chillingly cold. I like people declaring nuclear war and trashing my studio. I really do.

“You’ve just sentenced yourselves, the pair of you, to a lifetime of hell and I’ll be coming for you shortly.”

This Morning is on ITV, weekdays at 10:30am
