Holly Willoughby takes time out from boozy I'm A Celebrity wrap party to video call Phillip Schofield

Holly Willoughby made sure to take time out from the boozy I’m A Celebrity wrap party to catch up with best friend Phillip Schofield.

The This Morning host, who has been Down Under with Declan Donnelly for series 18, rushed out onto the street outside the lavish bash to video call the ITV show on Monday morning.

Not wanting to leave the party behind, Willoughby showed off her margarita to Schofield and Rochelle Humes, joking that she “looked like she had had a fight with a boyfriend and walked out”.

She then showed off her glittery hair accessories, with a silver clip reading “jungle is massive” before adding “it’s a party innit!”

Schofield joked that they “only had four minutes before she’d be on her knees” as they carried on giggling through the interview.

Willoughby revealed that she ran screaming from a Bushtucker Trial after being bitten by a green ant.

Willoughby admitted that her creepy crawly fears got the better of her, telling Schofield: “It was horrendous [to be so close to the bugs and eating trials]. It’s been horrific, there was a bit with the colosseum with green ants…this bit didn’t make it to air because I actually ran out.

“One green ant bit me and I burst into tears and I ran out because I was so embarrassed.

“I was sort of laughing but sort of crying. I opened the red curtains and I just went ‘help me’. That moment I was like ‘right, you’ve got to pull yourself together now’.

“I know I was a bit of a wimp yesterday with Emily. I went to run but they were like ‘stay there’.”

Sunday night’s final, watched by a peak of 12.1million viewers, saw Harry Redknapp beat Emily Atack and John Barrowman to become King of the Jungle.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV.
