Holly Willoughby would be "useless" as a contestant on 'Dancing On Ice.'

The 41-year-old presenter hosts the ITV skating competition - which is set to return to screens on Sunday (15.01.23) with the likes of 'EastEnders' star Patsy Palmer and Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton taking part - alongside Phillip Schofield, 61, but admitted that she could never take to the rink herself because she is "scared of everything."

She said: "There is no doubt about it, I would be useless! I'm scared of everything! The thing that would hold me back from enjoying the experience would be the fear of hurting myself. The ice is unreliable, so it adds an extra challenge, and its dangerous. So, although it is beautiful, there is a real danger to it."

Meanwhile, Phillip - who initially presented 'Dancing on Ice' alongside his 'This Morning' co-star from 2006 until 2011 and then again from the show's revival in 2018 - insisted that the 'Strictly Come Dacing' rival is one of the "hardest" on television because of the high danger levels involved with taking part.

He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper's Tops for Telly column as saying: "There is no question that it's one of the hardest on TV. All of these other shows of a similar ilk are fantastic but this is one that is dangerous! There are blades on the bottom of their boots. They're sharp!"

Completing the lineup for this year's 'Dancing On Ice' is The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran, former 'TOWIE' star Joey Essex, 'RuPaul's Drag Race UK' contestant The Vivienne, football legend John Fashanu, 'Love Island' star Ekin-Su Culculoglu, ex-'Hollyoaks' star Carley Stenson, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, comedian Darren Harriott and ‘Coronation Street’ actress Mollie Gallagher.

'Dancing On Ice' returns on January 15 at 6.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
