Hollyoaks is set to air a shock collapse for JJ Osborne during his upcoming abuse trial.
In recent months, the soap has explored a sensitive storyline surrounding JJ’s sexual abuse of his twin sister Frankie.
Despite pressure from JJ to keep quiet, Frankie eventually opened up to dad Darren about what she has been subjected to.

The twins’ mum Suzanne took JJ’s side, and it was revealed that Frankie had spoken to her about the abuse years ago, but she turned a blind eye.
Suzanne eventually admitted that she believed Frankie and apologised, but shortly after, she was tragically killed in the horror motorbike accident in the village.
Hollyoaks then jumped forward a year in time, with viewers waiting to find out where the Osbornes are now.
In Monday’s first time jump episode (September 16), Frankie, Darren and Nancy were seen standing together at Suzanne’s grave.

So far, little more has been revealed about the family’s situation – except for the surprise confirmation that Darren’s dad Jack was in fact still alive.
But Frankie’s story is far from over, as in upcoming episodes, JJ’s trial for his abuse of his sister is set to take place.
In scenes that will air next week, Frankie and JJ come face to face again, with Vicky watching on as she looks out for her friend.
Desperately trying to save himself, JJ begs Frankie to tell the court that she is lying about his abuse. But he takes things too far when he uses Suzanne’s death to evoke sympathy, and Frankie storms off.

Jack is worried that Frankie's past behaviour means she won't get justice, so he tells Pearl his plan to get JJ to plead guilty.
JJ gets angry about being banished from the family, so Jack puts him in his place and opens up about his own past.
Jack reveals that he committed accidental manslaughter and denied it for years, so encourages JJ to face up to what he did to Frankie.
Frankie stays out all night before JJ's plea hearing, but when she comes home, Jack tells her that he might have had a breakthrough.

But the day soon takes a dramatic turn when JJ collapses at court and is rushed to hospital in an ambulance.
To get away from everything, Frankie and Vicky spend the night in The Loft. The next day Darren finds Frankie and tells her they need to go to the hospital.
Later in the week, Frankie and Mercedes have an emotional conversation, and Frankie realises she needs to make up with Darren.
What has happened to JJ, and how will the trial be affected?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
