Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Trish Minniver's sleazy boyfriend Brad King has made a hasty exit from Hollyoaks.

Digital Spy understands that cast member Tom Benedict Knight's final episode aired in Friday's (April 2) E4 instalment, where his character departed in a post-credits scene.

Brad had been facing a blackmail threat from love rival Fergus Collins (Robert Beck) to sign over his business interests and "break Trish's heart" over the botched robbery job.

In the latest instalment, Brad had no choice but give in to Fergus's demands, with his rival boasting he'd even left Brad a little time to "say goodbye" before leaving town.

Fergus also threatened a defiant Warren that he still owed him over the heist as well, insisting that he'd "be in touch" before long about their shared interests.

Brad confided in Maxine that he'd have to come clean to Trish and then leave Hollyoaks, but she assured him he could sort the problems because her mum "doesn't go for losers".

"She's chosen you because you've got everything. Good looks, brains, gift of the gab," Maxine assured him.

Brad misread the signals and moved in to kiss Max just as Trish walked up, demanding to know: "What the hell do you think you're playing at?"

Trish assumed Maxine was having an affair with Brad in spite of her daughter's denials, and hit out that Max had been "ruining [her] life" ever since she'd got pregnant.

Turning to Brad, Trish declared: "You have thrown away the one person who would have had your back through thick and thin."

When Brad begged her to move away with him, Trish scoffed by telling him she was "glad" he was leaving.

In a post-credits sequence, Brad was shown loading his bags into a black cab while Trish watched from a distance. The two briefly made eye contact, but Brad jumped into the cab and headed out of town.
