Hollyoaks has aired the tragic full extent of Sid Sumner's life-changing injury.

Young Sid (Billy Price) was distraught in Thursday's (November 11) first-look episode after rejection from both his cousin Jordan Price (Connor Calland) and best mate Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw).

Sid was already reeling from Jordan telling him that he was cutting him off over ratting him out to police, before he stumbled on Juliet and Ollie Morgan (Gabriel Clark) in the aftermath of hooking up.

Since he was fresh off telling Peri (Ruby O'Donnell) that she should be with Juliet, Sid got the wrong end of the stick over why Juliet had got together with Ollie.

"This doesn't mean that I'm into lads. It was just a mistake," Juliet insisted, with a heartbroken Sid rebuffing her: "Just go!"

He also berated Ollie, calling him a "messed-up druggie loser". Ollie was so ashamed at what he'd done that he vowed to quit ketamine and tossed away his drugs to Sid. The trauma of the day led Sid to take the leftover ketamine.

Over at the Lomax house, Peri stormed out after hitting out at Juliet for lying to her.

Peri was struggling with her emotions for Juliet as she drove away from the Lomax flat, just as Sid was slumping over into the road while under the effects of the drugs.

"Here I am, sat on the street, all on my own talking to no-one," he reflected in a barely coherent vlog. "How's that for karma?"

In a horrific series of events, Peri rounded the corner in her car. Distracted by calls from Juliet, she ran over Sid's leg without even realising it.

Wednesday's first-look episode concluded with harrowing scenes of Luke, Cindy and Ollie rushing to Sid's rescue as he passed out from the pain.

As viewers know, Sid's life-changing injury will be explored in greater detail in upcoming episodes, as Jordan and Ste Hay butt heads while trying to step up and help the youngster.

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4. Classic episodes, titled Hollyoaks Favourites, air on Fridays at 7pm on E4.
