Yahoo News Hollyoaks airs terrifying Luke Morgan health crisis
Luke Morgan has suffered another shock health crisis in troubling Hollyoaks.
This week's episodes have seen Luke (Gary Lucy) diagnosed with shrinkage in the front of the brain due to a preexisting condition, though he has resisted learning more about his health out of fear.
Instead, Luke planned a spur-of-the-moment marriage proposal to Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) as a means of distraction.
Cindy was already worried that Luke was having regrets about popping the question in Thursday's (November 21) episode, unaware that he was actually terrified about his medical condition.
"You're not my way out of trouble. You're my way forward," he insisted.
His best mate Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) intervened to encourage Luke to take his health seriously, only for Luke to insist that he wanted to focus on the celebration of his engagement for the moment.
When he witnessed just how blissful the newly-engaged couple were together, Darren decided to shelve his original idea of telling Cindy the truth about Luke's condition.
"To Luke and Cindy," he toasted instead.
A big engagement party got underway later at The Hutch, but the celebration eventually took a troubling turn.
As Luke was trying to open a bottle of champagne, his hand suddenly started to seize up. Panicking over what this meant for his future, he then crouched on the floor overcome with emotion.
Unfortunately, this incident still won't convince Luke to come clean because spoilers for next week's episodes have revealed that he will still be keeping some massive secrets from Cindy.
Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
