Hollyoaks airs unexpected Darren Osborne connection
Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 (Tuesday, December 17).
Hollyoaks has revealed that the newly-returned Darren Osborne has a surprising link to a recently-introduced character.
After a brief appearance at Charlie Dean's uni halls last week, Darren has now returned to the village. His return wasn't a hugely welcome one, however, as Nancy, Frankie and Robbie Roscoe were all angry at him for departing when his family needed him the most.
In tonight's (December 17) episode, Nancy continued to be firm with him.

"I need you to get help for your depression. I need to be present," she said. "And I need to know that you're not going to run away the next time things get difficult. Because they will. It's us, they always do."
Although Nancy said she could maybe forgive him in time, Jack was a bit colder. However, Darren said he wasn't going to do another runner.
But it looks like things could still potentially kick off for the family again, as Darren received a text that he was very keen to hide.
"Please call me," read the message, while the phone said it was from someone called Kat. Viewers have met Kat before, although very briefly.

At the end of an episode last month, Rex Gallagher went to a mysterious house where Kat and a boy named Jacob were staying. Jacob — the mysterious 'J' who had been leaving Rex notes — complained that he hadn't seen his friends for ages, but Rex told him it was too dangerous for them outside.
Whatever the mystery surrounding Kat and Jacob is, Darren's involvement just made it a lot more mysterious.
Also in today's episode, the villagers learned that Cleo McQueen is back (or rather, still) in town... as she gatecrashed Abe Fielding and Peri Lomax's wedding.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
