Yahoo News Hollyoaks' Goldie is distraught as Prince leaves
Goldie McQueen's bribery plan backfires badly on Hollyoaks next week as her son Prince does a disappearing act with his father Shane Sweeney.
Goldie (Chelsee Healey) resorts to desperate measures in upcoming episodes after confiding in Ellie Nightingale about how she'd love to get rid of Shane for good.
As Ellie is pretty annoyed when she sees how badly Shane (Michael Salami) treats Goldie, she decides to help out her new friend by giving her £2,000 of cash to bribe him with.
As Goldie considers her options, the final straw comes when Prince (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) is discharged from hospital after the recent car crash.
Goldie encourages her son to eat healthily and get plenty of rest, but Shane has other ideas for him and sets up a gaming day with junk food instead.
Realising the time has come to make her move, Goldie pays Shane to leave the village and is hugely relieved when he finally goes.
What Goldie doesn't bargain for is that Shane also takes Prince with him after the troublesome teenager is expelled from school, leaving Goldie distraught as she reels from the unexpected consequences of her actions. How will Hunter react when he finds out that his twin has gone?
Digital Spy can confirm that this isn't a permanent exit for Prince – who was seen filming the show's upcoming Ibiza episodes just a couple of weeks ago – but we'll have to tune in to see exactly what brings him back.
Something tells us we'll also see Shane again after show bosses went to the effort of recasting him recently...
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
