Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas has overturned a driving disqualification today (April 11) after a court banned him from the roads without his knowledge over a traffic accident.
It comes after Lomas, who plays Warren Fox in the Channel 4 soap, was banned from driving for six months as a result of failing to appear in court.
The 41-year-old actor received a court summons when he hit another car in his BMW in Manchester back in September.
After not appearing at any of his three scheduled court dates, he was given six points on his licence and a ban from driving for half a year.
A spokesman for Lomas told Digital Spy at the time: "He had been staying at another address for some time. If he had known about this he would have been there in person.
"He has immediately contacted his insurance company and Manchester Magistrates' Court to resolve this as soon as possible."
During Jamie's time on Hollyoaks, Warren notably 'died' in 2009 before returning from the dead a year later in 2010.
Lomas later left the show again in 2011, after his mischievous character (for which he won many awards for best villain) was sent to prison.
In true soap-y glory, though, he returned to our screens yet again in 2016, with a shower scene that paid homage to Dallas, after Digital Spy exclusively revealed that he was involved in talks with producers to return to the show.
Since then, Lomas has been involved in plenty of dramatic storylines, including the tragic scenes where Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) and Warren lost their baby. The emotional scenes won the pair praise from fans of the show.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
