Hollyoaks aired emotional scenes tonight as Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy) told Mark Gibbs' wife Jenna the truth about his harrowing rape ordeal (December 14).

Tonight's first-look scenes saw a horrified Luke come face-to-face with Mark for the first time in 17-years, after his attacker turned up to speak to him.

Luke has become fixated on getting revenge against Mark for the ordeal he suffered in 2000 – and Tuesday's E4 first-look episode saw him finally take action.

Viewers know that Luke has taken on Mark's wife Jenna as a personal-training client in an effort to find out more about their family life.

With Jenna completely unaware of Luke's identity, she unwittingly tipped him over the edge by saying how Mark was once jailed for GBH in a "miscarriage of justice".

This led a furious Luke to break into Mark's home and trash it, but he made a big mistake by dropping Nancy's bank card in the process.

Knowing Luke was responsible for the break-in, Mark tracked him down at the Osbornes', leaving Luke utterly terrified when he realised they were alone.

Seeing this was his chance to get some closure, Luke begged Mark to show some remorse for what he'd done all those years ago, as a tense showdown ensued.

Having followed Mark to the village, Luke tried a new tactic as he threatened to tell Jenna what really happened – fully aware that the rapist's marriage is based on a load of lies.

But when Mark still refused to offer a proper apology, Luke told Jenna the truth when she turned up and overheard part of their conversation.

Jenna was horrified by what she was hearing, and even more so when Mark struggled to deny it, but will this give Luke the closure he desperately needs?
