Yahoo News Hollyoaks' Ryan to be rocked by a face from his past
Hollyoaks policeman Ryan Knight will be rocked by a mysterious face from his past as he hides a huge secret next week.
Ryan's life was turned upside down when his new wife Amy Barnes was killed on their wedding day last month.
Although her ex-partner Ste Hay has been arrested after confessing to murdering Amy amid an explosive row, Ryan's own guilt over Amy's demise was brought to our attention in the show's spring trailer.
Upcoming scenes will see it become all the more clear that Ryan (Duncan James) is hiding a dark secret when he gets a message from someone called 'Jules', saying: "I miss u. Do you miss me? x"
The text prompts Ryan to arrange a secret meeting with Jules, but he has to abort the plan when Mercedes McQueen turns up looking for him.
Ryan is given an easy distraction from his problems when he spends the night with Mercedes, but soon panics when she finds an envelope full of money which has been hidden away.
Ryan will appear even more guilty when he's seen speaking to Jules on the phone, explaining that no one can ever find out what he did to Amy. But what is he hiding? And what did he do to Amy?
Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Monday May 1, Tuesday May 2 and Wednesday May 3 on Channel 4.
