Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Brody Hudson has made a heartbreaking decision over his future with Sienna Blake in Hollyoaks.
This week's episodes have seen Summer forced to flee after being shot by a now-free Liberty after drugging and attempting to kill Sienna.
In Thursday's (August 19) first-look episode, Liberty remained wracked with guilt over accidentally attacking Leah Barnes weeks ago while trying to flee Summer.
The two were unforgiving when Liberty confessed what she'd done and tried to apologise, with Ste saying "shame on you" as he refused to accept her apology.
Sienna and Brody were giving their statement to police, where they lied about the shooting to claim Summer accidentally shot herself while being startled by Liberty.
The detective revealed her team had confiscated Summer's passport so she couldn't leave the country to flee to France like she originally planned.
The duo reunited with Damon to try to help Liberty forgive herself for what she'd done, but Lib admitted she "definitely" was struggling to move on from the ordeal.
"What kind of a human being am I? What kind of a mother am I? I feel like I abandoned Faith," she asked them.
Her loved ones encouraged her to take things one day at a time, vowing that they had her back through anything she was feeling.
It was then Brody and Sienna's turn to discuss their unresolved feelings for one another. While Sienna felt they were still destined to be together, Brody was much more uncertain.
"I don't know what we are anymore," he revealed.
Brody admitted his head and life were a mess, telling her: "I can't be around you to fix that."
In the episode's climax, Brody walked out on a broken-hearted Sienna.
Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
