Yahoo News Hollyoaks' Brody and Sienna learn their baby has no heartbeat
Hollyoaks' popular on-off couple Brody Hudson and Sienna Blake have received devastating news in the wake of their reconciliation.
The two have been on the outs in recent weeks, following Brody (Adam Woodward) admitting he'd be unable to forgive Sienna (Anna Passey) keeping quiet over Maxine Minniver's fake illness.
Thursday's first-look episode (October 17) centred on Sienna's determination to get her man back. She arrived at The Loveboat to convince him to go along with herself and Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) to the latest baby scan.
"Whatever's happening between you and me, [the scan] is a big deal," she reasoned, with Brody promising: "I'll be there! I wouldn't miss it!"
When Sienna returned to tell Brody the time of the appointment, she was stunned to find his new bartender Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) kissing Brody on the cheek.
This sent Sienna into a tailspin as she stormed off home to pack her bags, vowing to leave the village for good. Liberty reminded her about the scan, only for Sienna to callously insist she no longer wanted a baby without Brody!
"I've got to get out of here," she insisted. "I can't stick around here and watch him move on. It's too painful."
In comparison, Brody was visiting Damon (Jacob Roberts), where he admitted he couldn't bring himself to fool around with Cindy because he was still upset over his falling out with Sienna.
After Cindy managed to set Sienna straight by insisting nothing happened with Brody, the former couple actually bumped into each outside of the hospital — where they made amends for the craziness of the past few weeks.
But just when it looked like Brody and Sienna might be getting back on track, a stunned Liberty came out of the hospital with the news that she'd already had the scan… and the doctor couldn't detect a heartbeat!
How will they process this tragic development?
Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
