Jamie Laing is swapping Chelsea for Chester as he gears up for his big soap debut on Hollyoaks. OK, so we're exaggerating a little – but Jamie really is making the move to 'Oaks.

As part of a very special Hollyoaks edition of his In Bed with Jamie series, Mr Laing has taken on a job at the local hospital, despite not knowing what a stethoscope is...

Just like the rest of us, Jamie is seriously stoked for his upcoming moment in the spotlight, although we are kind of disappointed he's not been given more of a prominent role.

Have a watch of Jamie's, erm... acting skills in action in this behind-the-scenes video below.

Jamie's In Bed with Jamie was officially confirmed to be coming back for a second series earlier this month, and the first episode is available to watch on All 4 as we speak.

Although it's yet to be seen if any fellow Made in Chelsea co-stars will be joining him, Jamie will be chatting to the likes of reality TV rival Joey Essex, comedian Katherine Ryan and Scott Eastwood.

"After an immensely popular first season of In Bed with Jamie, All 4 is proud to commission a second season," Charlie Palmer, Managing Editor for All 4, announced.

"It's a delight to work with the talented Jamie Laing, and his mischievous and candid interview style makes this show a must-watch."

Here's hoping he doesn't get poached by the Hollyoaks lot...
