Yahoo News Hollyoaks to confirm Joel's fate after Breda attack
Hollyoaks airs a must-see episode on E4 tonight (August 19) as Breda McQueen's dark storyline continues to pick up the pace.
The show left fans on a big cliffhanger last week as Breda viciously attacked Joel Dexter with a bible, wanting to make him pay for his scandalous fling with her daughter Goldie.
Although Breda (Moya Brady) usually targets "bad fathers", she strayed from her usual modus operandi as she disapproved of Joel breaking his priestly vows by giving into temptation with Goldie.
After a weekend of speculation, Monday's E4 episode will reveal whether Joel (Rory Douglas-Speed) has survived the nasty incident – or whether he has officially become Breda's ninth victim.

Tonight's visit to the village will also confirm the identity of the corpse that has been found in the river outside The Dog.
Jack Osborne (Jimmy McKenna) was happily doing some fishing last week when he unwittingly pulled up a body in a bin bag, much to Goldie's horror as she watched on.
This evening's scenes see Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji), Martine Deveraux (Kelle Bryan) and Walter Deveraux (Trevor A. Toussaint) all rush over to see the drama unfolding outside The Dog.
Breda also panics when Jack predicts that the police will be able to extract fingerprints from the body and finally track down the serial killer who has been plaguing the village.

Viewers have been left to speculate over whether the dead body is Louis Loveday, who had to be moved from Breda's pig farm when the local teens got too close to the truth.
Another possibility is Harry Thompson, as it's unclear what Breda did with his body after killing him last month.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
