Hollyoaks confirms Fergus is to blame for Darren accident

Hollyoaks has confirmed who's to blame for Darren Osborne's new life-or-death drama.

The show's newest trailer recently revealed that Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) will be rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a new sign for The Loft falls on him.

Hollyoaks has now confirmed that foul play is involved in the dramatic storyline.

Next week's episodes see Grace Black (Tamara Wall) excitedly prepare to relaunch the nightclub, but the village's newest villain Fergus Collins (Robert Beck) is determined to ruin the day.

Grace asks her boyfriend Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) to put up the new sign for the business, but Fergus gets an idea when he discovers that she doesn't have insurance.

Fergus asks his accomplice Timmy (Sam Tutty) to keep watch while he loosens the bolts on the sign.

Shortly afterwards, the sign comes crashing down on top of Darren, leaving him in a bad way.

Grace is quick to blame Felix for what has happened, believing that he must have been negligent.

Grace accuses Felix of sinking her club, but he's lost for words by her lack of faith in him.

Meanwhile, shameless Fergus reveals to Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) that he used his tools to loosen the sign.

Fergus uses this to blackmail Warren with, demanding complete loyalty if he wants to stay out of trouble with the police. He also approaches Grace with a proposition.

As the week continues, Grace and Felix are both left in a panic as Fergus's scheming seems to be paying off.

Felix assures Warren that he plans to take Fergus down, but wants his help with the plan.

Grace also decides to play the long game with Fergus, assuring Felix that once she has enough ammunition, she can get rid of him for good. But will it really be that simple?

Hollyoaks airs Darren's accident on Friday, June 4 at 7pm on E4 and Monday, June 7 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
