Hollyoaks confirms new scheme to bring down Abe Fielding

Hollyoaks' Cleo McQueen and Peri Lomax have enacted a new scheme to take down Abe Fielding.
Abe’s abuse of several women - including Cleo, Peri and Leela - came to light in recent weeks, with the villain being arrested after his crimes were reported to the police.
Last night's episode saw Abe manipulate the police by blaming the whole situation on Cleo, with the instalment ending as Leela - who was assaulted by Abe last year - considered telling Peri and Cleo about her experience.

Tuesday’s (January 28) episode began with Leela looking over footage online from the night of her attack, though she quickly shut her laptop after being startled by Marie. Cleo, meanwhile, expressed her doubts to Joel that Abe would ever face justice, though he implored her to remain positive and continue the fight.
Joel headed back to Leela to inform her of his discussion with Cleo, though she was still visibly shaken by the discovery of the footage. Cleo eventually headed to the police to report the videos, though DI Banks informed her that the website had already been taken down.
The turn of events proved to be even more sinister, however, as it was revealed - after Cleo had already left - that Banks had ordered for the site to be taken down, with the officer seemingly having some secrets of his own.

Cleo and Leela headed for drinks at The Loft, though Cleo was determined to act after she spotted Abe in the club with another woman. She quickly called Peri, saying that they would need to “act tonight” before Abe “destroyed” another woman.
As Abe headed to the bathroom, Cleo and Peri followed him in before they planted their phone in a secret spot, with the duo saying “things would end now”. An obnoxious Abe came into view of the camera, with the villain set to decide his next move…
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
