Hollyoaks Favourites featured a major Doctor Who cameo
Doctor Who's titular Time Lord has popped up here, there and everywhere – so naturally the Doctor decided that a court case in an episode of Hollyoaks from 2000 was an important fixed point in time to be there for.
Yesterday's (July 16) Hollyoaks Favourites featured a classic-yet-harrowing episode, as Kenneth Boyd gave evidence in court regarding Luke Morgan's rape trial.
As you may have noticed in the episode, the judge was played by none other than Colin Baker: the one and only sixth Doctor!

Interestingly, Kenneth was played by Greg Wood, who fans of the soap will know played a completely different character, gangster Trevor Royle, between 2013 and 2016.
The trial concludes in tonight's (July 17) throwback episode, so be sure to tune in to see if Colin Baker's judge pops off to the TARDIS after delivering the verdict.
Hollyoaks' cast and crew returned to filming recently, while Doctor Who is probably a while off from resuming production, due to needing so many people on set.

"It'll be down to social distancing," Director of BBC Wales Rhodri Talfan Davies has confirmed (via RTS). "A production like that, which at any point employs hundreds of people, freelance and stuff, I don't believe can be made to the current standard in a socially distanced environment.
"So it depends when you think social distancing is going to end."
Hollyoaks Favourites continues tonight at 7pm on E4. Doctor Who will return for a festive special on BBC One in the UK and BBC America in the US.
