Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks has confirmed that Malique Thompson-Dwyer will be returning to the soap, after lots of rumours circling recently.
The former I'm a Celebrity star, who played Prince McQueen, left the show back in 2019, but Hollyoaks has revealed that his return will premiere on September 7 on E4, and then on September 8 on Channel 4.
In a statement, Malique said: "I'm really excited to announce that I will be stepping back into Prince McQueen's shoes and returning to Hollyoaks this summer.
"I'm looking forward to the seeing what Prince gets up to next and working with the production team again. Stay tuned!"
Malique has been teasing fans recently with a possible return to the soap on social media.
Posting to his Instagram last Wednesday (June 30), the actor shared a selfie with co-star Owen Warner. Both men appear topless in the picture, which Malique captioned: "Guess who's back [eyes emoji]".
The actor also shared a photo on his Instagram Story earlier in the day seemingly shot from the Hollyoaks set in Liverpool.
Prince made an emotional exit from the Channel 4 series back in 2019, after announcing to mum Goldie (Chelsee Healey) that he was going travelling following the death of his wife Lily.
Since leaving the soap, Malique has looked for love on Celebs Go Dating – where viewers got to see his unique talent for freestyle rap and somewhat-awkward flirting style. He also appeared on Ex on the Beach spin-off Celeb Ex in the City late last year.
Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
