Hollyoaks has added a ticking timebomb to Breda McQueen's serial killer storyline after she proposed to Jack Osborne.

The show's latest E4 first look episode (June 18) saw Breda pop the question to Jack in a panicked moment at the pig farm, but she messed up by using Louis Loveday's old ring.

Tuesday's scenes saw Jack interrupt Breda (Moya Brady) at the farm after she'd dug up Louis's body, needing to put it somewhere else now that the local teens know about her secret hideaway.

Although hapless Jack (Jimmy McKenna) didn't realise what was going on, he noticed a silver ring on the ground and Breda tried to distract him by claiming that it used to belong to her dad.

Claiming it was a sign that they should be married after all, Breda proposed to Jack with the ring before returning home to the village to share the happy news with everyone.

Just as Breda was breathing a sigh of relief, she was alarmed to realise that there was an engraving of "LL" inside the ring – an obvious clue to who it used to belong to.

Breda claimed it stood for "lots of love", but only narrowly escaped being exposed as a liar when she stopped Louis's daughter Lisa from getting a glimpse of the ring.

With Jack now likely to be wearing the ring every day, is it only a matter of time before Lisa gets her chance to see it and realises something is seriously wrong?

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
