Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks may be planning a double exit for Fergus Collins (Robert Beck) and Trish Minniver (Denise Welch) in a storyline that will start next week.

Fergus and Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) set their sights on buying The Hutch, but Tony Hutchinson (Nick Picard) refuses to sell it to them, calling them dodgy landlords. He's not wrong.

The pair realise that they need to salvage their reputation, and they decide to go to Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) and apologise, but will she listen to their pleas and stop spreading negativity about them?

It doesn't seem likely, as Fergus later tells Warren that their business is on the verge of collapse and that they need to do something drastic to save it. Fergus offers a solution that isn't entirely above board, but will Warren agree to it when he knows he risks losing his kids?

Later on, Fergus goes to Trish and tells her that he plans on leaving the village for good, and Trish confirms to Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) that she is planning on going with him.

Are we really going to see them depart, or will there be another twist that ends with them staying?

Speaking of Misbah, last night's episode saw her open up about the truth of Shaq Qureshi's (Omar Malik) parentage. The family are already at breaking point due to various secrets and lies, but will this revelation bring them closer together or push them further apart?

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
