Hollyoaks actor Jeremy Edwards has teased another return for his character Kurt Benson.
Following what he described as a "shit show" of a short stint back in 2020 – as an original cast member, he returned for the soap's 25th anniversary – it seems like there's unfinished business there.
Talking to OK! magazine, he explained how the coronavirus pandemic meant he had to leave Hollyoaks abruptly and revealed if he'd be willing to go back again.
"What I was doing got cut short because of Covid. I will be back at some point but I can't say more than that," Edwards revealed.
"They've had to cut the numbers of actors they can use on set so it's hard to bring people back and do big storylines. It's just playing a waiting game."
Addressing reports that he'd quit for good, the star then added: "No, I just got in a mood and was reacting because people were being mean on social media. People expect me to look like I did when I was 22, which is ridiculous.
"Then I saw it and thought, 'Oh God, I look awful and heavy'. I've dropped loads of weight now. I think I look slimmer and I'm happier for it."
Meanwhile, Edwards went on to suggest that his potential next re-emergence as Kurt will be bigger and better.
"I also think a lot of people weren't happy with the end of the storyline. I did get a huge amount of positive stuff and loads of fan clubs were set up," he said.
"When I go back I'll be in a better place, I'll look better and have a bigger storyline."
Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
