Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks aired dramatic scenes on Friday (July 2) when E4's first look episode saw Felix (Richard Blackwood) recruit Warren's (Jamie Lomas) son Joel (Andrew Still) as a secret spy to bring down Fergus.
Things took a turn for Felix when Grace (Tamara Wall) told him that things had gotten serious at school. Someone went after her son Curtis by slipping him a black and white photo of her with the words RIP written over her face... and she knew exactly who was behind it.
"Warren is a piece of work, but I can't see him coming after your kid," Felix said, though Grace disagreed. "They're going to get more than a fight, they're going to get a war," she warned.
Warren attempted to talk Grace down, telling her: "Let me go instead. I'll take care of this situation."
Felix then headed to confront Warren and Fergus, and both denied being behind the picture as Felix explained that he'd be stepping away from the garage. "You're lost, little man," he scathed to Warren.
Despite denying it in front of Felix, after he left Fergus confessed to Warren it was him who created the picture and he "had to get [his] hands dirty". Warren seemed shocked at first, but appeared to be won around by the shady character.
Determined to put a stop to Fergus's antics once and for all, Felix, well aware it was really him behind the picture despite the denials, hatched a plan to team up with Joel.
Felix told Joel all about the picture and pointed out how no good Fergus would drag Warren down with him if the two continue to stay close, as he was even willing to get Grace's son involved in their feud.
"You can keep an eye on things," Felix explained to Joel, urging him to "get close" with his dad again to get the inside information. "Close enough to find out any dirt," he suggested.
"You're a vicar. Do it for Warren's immortal soul or whatever. Or don't… but don't be surprised if you turn around and there's nothing left of that immortal soul to save," he threatened.
Joel eventually agreed, to which Warren confessed that if Fergus really was who he thought it was, he'd "destroy him".
The scenes set up a dramatic new story set to air next week, which will see Joel attempt to learn more about what Fergus is really up to. The vicar will snoop into Fegus' dodgy dealings in an attempt to protect his dad, but will he find out more than he bargained for?
Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
