Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Juliet Nightingale and Peri Lomax have split in Hollyoaks, following Timmy Simons' meddling.
Timmy has been covering his tracks since shoving Juliet down the stairs last week, first trying to paint himself as a hero by driving her to the hospital and later by burning a pair of trainers she recognised.
In Tuesday's (September 28) episode, Juliet had woken up and tried to share her theory that Timmy was in their home and then attacked her as she tried to catch him.
The problem was Juliet's theory hinged on Timmy trying to retrieve the creepy letter he'd sent Peri, but he'd actually left it behind. Juliet also couldn't figure how Timmy had managed to delete the voicemail she'd left for Peri before the attack.
"You're scaring me," Peri told Juliet. "You were paranoid before all this, and now you're even worse."
Peri later brought Timmy in to try to clear the air, with Juliet rightfully accusing him of engineering the whole ordeal. Timmy continued to pretend he'd only been a hero by rescuing her.
The confrontation made Timmy realise he'd need someone to take the blame for attacking Juliet, so he planted a pair of red trainers to make the police believe Cher McQueen was responsible.
The police took Cher in for questioning, but Juliet knew the true suspect was still on the loose and could target her again.
"Juliet, just stop lying, please," Peri begged. "You know, I feel like I don't even know who you are anymore, which is why we need to break up! I'm sorry, we're done."
Juliet was left heartbroken by Peri's decision as the episode concluded. In the post-credits scene, Timmy gleefully spied on Peri's text messages as she wrote to Yazz about the break-up.
Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
