Hollyoaks killer Ryan Knight could be in huge trouble tonight (March 23) when DS Thorpe finally realises that he's been lying about the night of Amy Barnes's murder.

Ryan (Duncan James) has his deception exposed by his vengeful ex-lover Kyle Kelly, who can't resist causing trouble for him.

Tonight's E4 first look episode is a dramatic one for Ryan, as Leela Lomax angrily reveals his fling with Ste Hay.

When Leela finds out about the affair, she interrupts Amy's memorial to tell everyone what Ste and Ryan have been up to behind Tegan's back.

Later on, Ryan finally decides to be true to himself by publicly declaring his love for Ste at The Dog.

Kyle (Adam Rickitt) is livid when he sees the pair looking so cosy, so he goes straight to DS Thorpe and points out that Amy wouldn't be too happy about Ryan's new relationship with Ste.

As Kyle spitefully tells DS Thorpe that he slept with Ryan on the night that Amy was murdered, the detective realises that his nephew has been lying about his movements in the run-up to the crime.

This crucial piece of information blows apart Ryan's alibi, but will DS Thorpe realise that he needs to closely investigate a member of his own family?
