Hollyoaks has revealed a first look at rapist Laurie Shelby facing the police in tonight's episode (May 21).

The show is airing a special edition on E4 this evening, focusing entirely on Sinead's devastating storyline with Laurie (Kyle Pryor).

As seen in our exclusive clip above, Laurie will be interviewed after Sinead goes to the police and breaks her silence over the traumas of the last few months.

Deceptive as ever, the villain shamelessly tries to regain control of the situation by casting doubt on Sinead's statement about him raping her.

Laurie tries his best to paint Sinead as jealous, manipulative and erratic, hoping that this will discredit her.

Police detectives also interview everyone who has a connection to Sinead and Laurie, wanting to gather as much information as possible. Will justice be served?

Stephanie Davis, who plays Sinead, told Digital Spy this week: "Sinead goes straight to the police and she tells them what's happened, but she's also trying to process it herself. She knows that Laurie is a terrible person and she doesn't want him to get away with it. She also now accepts that everything Sienna said was real.

"There's a stereotype with rape, where people might think you're dragged down a back alley by a stranger. So for Sinead, it's coming to terms with: 'This is actually happening and I was just raped.' In the police interviews, Sinead is realising more and more that she doesn't want Laurie to get away with it.

"But a photo comes up, which Lily took of Sinead and Laurie around the time of the first rape. Laurie has really manipulatively and cleverly thought about that, because he's an amazing narcissist. In that photo, Sinead was putting on a brave face for the family after the first rape, but she's worried about how it looks.

"So Sinead lies about the date that the first rape took place, because she wants to get Laurie done."

Hollyoaks airs these scenes tonight (May 21) at 7pm on E4 and tomorrow (May 22) at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
