Hollyoaks star Malique Thompson-Dwyer has given out yet another teaser to fans of his return to the soap.

Posting to his Instagram on Wednesday (June 30), the actor shared a selfie with co-star Owen Warner. Both men appear topless in the picture, which Malique captioned: "Guess who's back [eyes emoji]".

Complimenting the duo on their physique as well as wishing Malique the best for his return to the soap were current and former Hollyoaks actors Aedan Duckworth, Duayne Boachie, Anthony Quinlan, Michael Salami.

Malique's character Prince McQueen and Owen's character Romeo shared quite the journey together. Initially, they were love rivals as they both fought for the attention of Lily.

However, they were brought closer when Lily died and had to deal with their shared grief.

The news of Malique's return first started circulating earlier this week, as The Sun reported on Tuesday (June 29) that the actor has started filming new scenes.

The actor also shared a photo on his Instagram Story earlier in the day seemingly shot from the Hollyoaks set in Liverpool.

Prince made an emotional exit from the Channel 4 soap back in 2019, after announcing to mum Goldie (Chelsee Healey) that he was going travelling.

The actor also dubbed his time away from the soap the 'Prince World Tour' during which he has looked for love on Celebs Go Dating – where viewers got to see his unique talent for freestyle rap and somewhat-awkward flirting style.

When he left, Malique admitted that he viewed the open-ended nature of Prince's exit as a positive sign.

After insisting he'd "miss everyone, every single person" in the Hollyoaks cast and crew, the actor said at the time: "I have been doing a lot of music and I'm trying to pursue that and get my music out there, however acting is my main passion which I won’t be giving up.

"The door is open. My character is still alive so you never know [about coming back]!"

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
