Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks' Marnie Nightingale has disowned granddaughter Juliet following a horrific encounter with drugs boss Victor Brothers.
The tense scenes played out in Monday's (November 16) first-look episode, after Marnie became suspicious of Juliet's mysterious calls on her burner phone.
Marnie swiped the phone long enough to steal Victor's number and arranged a meeting, demanding to know why he was contacting the teenager.
However, the sadistic dealer turned the tables on Marnie, as she soon realised he was the one who tried to rob her cafe recently.
"Oh grandma, you're really lost in the woods now. And there are wolves in here," he warned. "You're just a washed-up old hag who thinks a 500 quid pair of shoes makes her important."
Victor then forced Marnie to turn over her handbag, coat and shoes, before debasing her by drawing an 'X' on her face. Marnie was crouched in the foetal position when Misbah later found her in an alley.
Back at home later on, Marnie was just coming down off the shock of what she'd experienced when she revealed to Juliet she knew about the drug dealing.
"You destroyed your mother. You are every dealer who ever sold that filth to her," Marnie furiously hit out.
Although a tearful Juliet insisted she could "make it right", Marnie was so traumatised by her run-in with Victor that she disowned Juliet.
"You think the Nightingale name is so important. Well, guess what? Now, I'm important," Juliet insisted.
Marnie said she wouldn't turn Juliet in, as long as she left the Nightingale house and "never, never" returned.
