Hollyoaks' Martine is supported by Felix as he discovers she has cancer

Hollyoaks' Martine Deveraux is set to get support from ex-partner Felix Westwood as he discovers that she has cancer in new scenes.

The character recently received the life-changing news that an abnormal lump was found to be cancerous, and as she goes through chemotherapy the side effects begin to occur.

In scenes set to air next week, Martine's hair starts to fall out, and Misbah Maalik recommends she take some time off.

However, she shows no signs of slowing down, and even rejects an offer of a spa night with Grace Black.

Martine struggles to hide the effects as she stumbles through the village, with many under the impression that she is drunk.

Felix is left heartbroken when he eventually learns of Martine's cancer, and later turns up with a bunch of her favourite flowers when she is left upset at her hair falling out in the middle of an outfit fitting.

Martine confides in him as Felix helps to shave her head, and the pair spend a heartfelt and platonic night together – though agree to keep it between them.

Grace is left waiting for Felix at home, and he lies to her when she asks where he has been all night.
