Mitchell Deveraux received a shocking ultimatum from his siblings after discovering Lisa Loveday's murder in Hollyoaks.
Thursday's (November 19) first-look episode flashed forward with Martine (Kéllé Bryan) frantically trying to get ahold of Mitchell (Imran Adams), much to Toby's (Bobby Gordon) terror.
Over at The Dog, Walter (Trevor A. Toussaint) appeared deeply concerned as Scott (Ross Adams) tried to assure him that there was probably nothing wrong.
"Mitchell will be back with his family in no time. You'll see," Scott told a weary Walter.
Toby was next seen meeting up with sister Celeste (Andrea Ali), telling her that Mitchell found out about Lisa's murder.
Though there were hints otherwise, the soap subsequently revealed that Mitchell is still alive. The trainee doctor had been tied up by his brother so he couldn't reveal what he'd found out.
When Celeste insisted that Toby never meant to hurt Lisa, Mitchell realised that she'd known all along and had even helped him cover up the crime.
"Shut up, or we'll make you," Toby threatened.
As Celeste insisted that Lisa was "at the wrong place at the wrong time" like Mitchell, he put his siblings' plan together: "You're going to kill me."
The Faroes stepped outside to discuss strategy, with Celeteste insisting that this would be the last time she was dragged into her brother's dark deeds.
But, their plan was complicated with Mitchell overhearing them talking. He was able to get free and arm himself with a shovel, while Martine arrived outside to ask Celeste if she'd seen Mitchell.
However, Toby turned the tables by revealing Mitchell fell into their trap by putting his fingerprints on the shovel they'd used to dig Lisa's grave.
"The only reason you're alive right now is because Celeste has a plan that we can all move on," Toby warned.
Now at the mercy of his siblings' demands, Mitchell demanded to know what they wanted from him.
"We want you to leave the village. Forever," Toby commanded.
The trio had an emotional argument where Mitchell begged to be able to stay in the village because he had a family, a job and a new husband to care for. In the end, Celeste wasn't swayed.
"Toby has messed up so many times since we've come here, and quite frankly, I'm tired of sorting it out," shed admitted. "But, I know where he's come from and the type of person he can if he finally gets his act together.
"I'm not abandoning him now. Unless you want to spend a very, very long time in prison, you leave the country today."
What will Mitchell decide?
