Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Nancy Hayton has made a shocking discovery following Mason's lies in Hollyoaks.
The teen has already got in trouble for posting a drunken photo of an unconscious Leah Barnes on the Men's First forum, leading to the photo being posted on other public websites without Leah's knowledge.
Wednesday's (January 4) first-look episode saw Beau Ramsey determined to get to the bottom of why Mason would have a compromising photo of Leah on his phone.
When the two came face-to-face at school, Mason tried to lie his way out of facing responsibility by claiming he was in a secret relationship with Leah.
Beau was still intending to speak with Leah about the photo, but Mason begged: "Everyone at school already thinks I'm a weirdo and Leah is already embarrassed enough about our relationship.
"That's why I'm begging you not to tell anyone. If this got out, she'd be humiliated."
Mason promised he'd delete the photo as long as Beau gave him his phone back. The teacher ultimately agreed as he watched Mason delete the photo in front of him.
Beau was still deciding on whether or not to reveal what he'd found, though the damage was done as Mason found some of his Men's Rights friends had posted the photo on an adult website.
The teacher walked in as Mason quickly minimised the adult site and made a hasty retreat. Beau checked the laptop's search history once Mason was gone, discovering the student was searching an adult site.
As Beau struggled with the realisation that Mason may have lied with him, Nancy dropped in and assumed her colleague was the one looking at porn.
Beau argued that he was trying to show his students a lesson about online privacy, yet Nancy couldn't shake her doubts about her new colleague.
Nancy later searched Beau's name on the internet and found numerous posts insinuating that he'd been too close to underage students in his previous teaching job under the name 'Beau Hughes-Ramsey'.
One comment event read: "What an absolute disgrace. He's supposed to be keeping them innocent, not parading around with underage girls."
As Nancy was horrified to find a photo of Beau almost kissing a schoolgirl in uniform, he happened to walk by the room. Nancy warned Beau that he'd put the entire school in danger because he'd covered up his real name and past.
"You know what you said earlier about online privacy affecting you personally? Well, I couldn't get it out of my head," she explained. "So I dug into [it] a bit deeper and your past could ruin the reputation oft the entire school."
Nancy then shifted the laptop around to show a nervous Beau what she'd found…
