Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks' shady newcomer Fergus Collins is set to begin spying on Peri Lomax in upcoming scenes.
The soap's spring trailer previously revealed that Fergus (Robert Beck) would start spying on Peri (Ruby O'Donnell) and her girlfriend Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw), and now it's been confirmed that the sinister new storyline will begin next week when Fergus installs a hidden camera in Peri's bedroom.
In next week's episodes, Fergus discovers that Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) is strapped for cash and offers to buy the Lomaxes' house and rent it back to them.
While Ste initially declines the offer, Fergus recruits Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) with a plan to convince Ste to take the offer, and it pays off. Later, it's revealed that Fergus has installed a hidden camera in Peri's bedroom.
Later in the week, Peri receives a mysterious gift and is delighted when she opens it to find a brand new bikini.
She quickly tries on the new bikini, unaware that Fergus is watching her on his new CCTV feed. Peri is horrified when she learns that the bikini wasn't a gift from Juliet and wants an explanation.
Suspecting that Warren is the culprit, Peri confronts him and demands answers.
When Warren then turns the tables on Fergus, he is forced to cover for the newcomer, telling Peri that the bikini was supposed to be a gift for Maxine and had been left there by mistake.
With Peri seemingly accepting Warren's explanation, Warren then demands that Fergus give him money as an incentive for keeping his mouth shut.
Instead of giving Warren the cash, however, Fergus opts for a different plan, and books a table at a fancy restaurant so that Warren can surprise Maxine with a date. Will Warren agree to Fergus' offer?
Hollyoaks airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, April 19 at 6.30pm on Channel 4. First-look episodes air weekdays at 7pm on E4.
