Hollyoaks has revealed the outcome of Luke Morgan and Mandy Richardson's dramatic wedding episode.

Following weeks of speculation, it's been confirmed that the popular couple will tie the knot in tonight's E4 first look episode (January 19) – but a big twist could tear them apart forever.

Tense scenes this evening will see Luke's secret wife Scarlett (Susie Amy) demand money from him in exchange for getting rid of their marriage certificate.

When Luke (Gary Lucy) responds by offering up £500, Scarlett is disgusted and warns that she might now ruin the wedding day by telling Mandy everything.

Convinced this will all end in tears, Luke's best mate Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) encourages him to just tell Mandy the truth, but when he sees her walking down the aisle, he ignores his friend's advice.

Luke and Mandy end up tying the knot, but just when Luke is making a heartfelt speech at the wedding reception, all hell breaks loose as his 14-year-old son Oliver arrives unexpectedly.

Appalled by his dad's behaviour, Oliver pushes Luke to the ground and introduces himself to everyone as his son. How will Mandy react as she finally finds out the truth about Luke's long-lost wife and child?

Soap newcomer Aedan Duckworth has been cast in the role of Oliver and we'll see him make his debut in the closing moments of tonight's E4 episode.

Speaking about the scenes, Aedan revealed: "Oliver comes in with a bang. At Luke and Mandy's wedding, Oliver bursts in and reveals to everyone that Luke is his father.

"In Oliver's head, his dad left him and his mum. The initial thing for Oliver is trying to build a relationship with his dad, although at the start he's an alcoholic, so Oliver absolutely hates his guts."

Discussing his experience in Soapland so far, the young actor continued: "I'm absolutely chuffed that I've been given this opportunity to join Hollyoaks, it's absolutely fabulous! I'm working with amazing people and I'm only 16, so what an opportunity!

"I've only just left high school, so to be getting a full-time job is just unbelievable. All my mates are chuffed for me and all my family are proud, I just can't wait for the future.

"It was so good to come in with such big scenes. I'd rather get chucked in the deep end straight away, so I know what I have to do from the get-go, instead of just doing a little scene.

"It was hard initially, but I'd say now I'm as comfortable as I can be which is brilliant, as it will definitely help me in the long run."
