Hollyoaks star Richard Blackwood has suggested that his character Felix Westwood and girlfriend Grace Black have got what it takes to ensure that nasty Fergus Collins gets his comeuppance for his troublemaking.
It's been clear since Fergus (Robert Beck) arrived in the village that he's prone to villainous ways and in the soap's most recent E4 episode on Friday (June 4), his actions had serious consequences when Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) was hospitalised after Fergus meddled with a sign and it fell on unsuspecting Darren.
An excited Grace (Tamara Wall) had been preparing to relaunch her nightclub The Loft, with Felix putting up a brand new sign outside the business to attract attention. However, when scheming Fergus overheard Grace mention that she doesn't have insurance, he loosened the bolts on the sign, leading to Darren's accident.
Distraught Grace is blaming Felix, believing that he has been negligent, leaving him devastated by her lack of faith.
But despite the trouble that Felix and Grace are experiencing right now, actor Richard reckons that the couple still has the power to take Fergus down because they know how he thinks.
"Fergus is very smart and vindictive, so they know it's like a game of chess with him," he told Inside Soap. "Felix and Grace agree that rather than go in all guns blazing, they have to be very strategic about how they take down Fergus.
"But I believe they have what it takes to outsmart him – they'll make sure there are no repercussions..."
We'll have to wait and see what Felix and Grace do next to try and stop Fergus, but in the meantime, Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) is also deeply embroiled in the character's games.
Fergus used Warren's tools to loosen the Loft sign and he'll be using this detail to blackmail Warren, insisting that he needs complete loyalty from Warren if he wants to stay out of trouble with the police.
Felix, however, has no idea that Warren is so embroiled in Fergus' dealings and is currently very trusting of Warren, meaning that he could be in for a shock if Warren's current relationship with Fergus is exposed.
"Regardless of anything else, Warren has always had Felix's back. So when Felix turns to Warren for help, he thinks the conversation goes well. They're brothers, essentially," Richard explained.

"Felix doesn't realise what's going on between Warren and Fergus. He thinks that Fergus has been manipulating Warren, and he's warned him to be careful. But he's yet to discover to what degree Warren is wrapped up in Fergus' dodgy dealings."
Fergus now has his sights set on the Loft and is offering to buy it from Grace at a low price, due to the mess that she's now in after the accident with the sign. But will she and Felix manage to get the better of Fergus before she loses her business?
