Hollyoaks' spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks' spring trailer debuted last week and showed Martine Deveraux and Felix Westwood sharing a kiss, hinting that their old romance might be being rekindled.

Of course, it could be a one-off thing, but Felix actor Richard Blackwood has shared his hopes for the pair's future when discussing a current storyline — in which Martine realises Felix has fallen back into crime in order to help out Warren Fox — with Inside Soap.

"Felix has fought so hard to get back with his family, especially Martine, and this could be a deal-breaker," he said.

"He definitely wants a future with her — she was essentially the reason he came to the village, and she will always be that person for him.

"It would be nice to see them get back together. I think the audience is enjoying the 'will they, won't they?' which we've been building up for a while. As actors, myself and Kéllé [Bryan] would like to see our characters together, and I think that's what the viewers want as well."

That kiss that we saw in the trailer didn't actually feature Richard, as social distancing is still in effect. That meant Kélle's real-life husband Jay Gudgeon stepped in to film the scene.

Hollyoaks currently airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
