Hollyoaks serial killer Breda McQueen has found a new target for her hit list even as the net closes in on her for past murders.
Earlier this week, Breda (Moya Brady) was horrified when police discovered the body of her victim Louis Loveday and announced that forensic evidence would help them find the killer.
Panicked Breda considered giving up her vendetta against the village's 'bad dads' in order to save her skin, but she was drawn right back to her murderous ways in Tuesday's (August 20) first-look episode on E4.
She tried to keep the villagers on her side with a stirring speech about keeping safe during a town meeting, but noticed the police were suspiciously observing her.
Viewers might remember that she'd also been keeping an eye on Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) ever since he turned up drunk to pick up Oscar at Tom's Turtles last month.
Her judging eyes turned once again to Darren after hearing that he'd been constantly dumping both Charlie and Oscar at camp every day throughout the summer, then turning up late constantly to retrieve them.
When she confronted Darren, he complained: "Alright Scary Poppins, pack it in! It's not like anyone got killed, is it?"
Breda tried fighting her instincts to take out her anger on the 'bad dad', asking God to give her a sign about whether she should give up her vendetta.
Instead, she saw a photo of Darren on the fridge — and interpreted that as a sign that he deserved to die just like 'bad dads' Russ Owen, Glenn Donovan, Carl Costello, Louis Loveday and Harry Thompson before him.
Will Breda strike again?
Hollyoaks airs Mondays through Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
