Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Sid made his comeback in yesterday's E4 first-look episode (March 17), after drug dealer Victor Brothers was finally brought to justice following his reign of terror in the County Lines storyline.
But with Sid forced to fake his death at the advice of the police – and with Ste Hay the only one in on the plot – there are a few conversations to be had.
In a new look at Sid's return to the village, we see Ste explain why he had to keep up the lie to Peri Lomax, as well as an intense heart-to-heart between Sid and Ollie Morgan, who had been racked with guilt over Sid's 'death'.
Of course, there had been some hints that Sid wasn't actually dead following his horrific stabbing earlier this month, but now that he's officially back, Billy Price – who plays Sid – has spoken to Digital Spy about what's next for his character.
"From the stuff I've been filming now… he's done the deed and tried to take it into his own hands to finish what he started, in a sense, with the County Lines," the actor explained. "Now, we'll go back to him living with a disability. I feel like that will be quite nice."
Billy added: "With COVID, we kinda rushed the recovery time and what it's actually like to live with a disability and the challenges you face with it. We kinda go back and start again."
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
